To refresh your memory, here’s the Packers 2019 season schedule.  In my previous article, I left off at the bye week.

Week Date Opponent Time (CT)
1 9/5 at Chicago Bears (TNF) 7:20
2 9/15 vs. Minnesota Vikings 12:00
3 9/22 vs. Denver Broncos 12:00
4 9/26 vs. Philadelphia Eagles (TNF) 7:20
5 10/6 at Dallas Cowboys 3:25
6 10/14 vs. Detroit Lions (MNF) 7:15
7 10/20 vs. Oakland Raiders 12:00
8 10/27 at Kansas City Chiefs (SNF) 7:20
9 11/3 at Los Angeles Chargers 3:25
10 11/10 vs. Carolina Panthers 12:00
11 BYE WEEK
12 11/24 at San Francisco 49ers 3:25
13 12/1 at New York Giants 12:00
14 12/8 vs. Washington Redskins 12:00
15 12/15 vs. Chicago Bears 12:00
16 12/23 at Minnesota Vikings (MNF) 7:15
17 12/29 at Detroit Lions 12:00

After their bye, Green Bay once again travels to the west coast to play the San Francisco 49ers. Finishing just 4-12 last season, I don’t think San Francisco is a huge challenge for Green Bay and I predict a Packers win. However! The 49ers DO hold the #2 draft spot, so they may end up taking a monster that will start right away…but I feel that’s a longshot.

As detailed by USA Today, the Packers are the only team to play a road game after a Monday night road game, “The Packers have a brutal stretch to end the season. After a home game against the Bears, they play a road game on Monday night against the Vikings, which is followed by another road game after a short week. Green Bay is the only team in the entire league to play a road game after a Monday night game on the road.”

And then comes the New York Giants. I’m still scratching my head over this team. They decided to keep their (and trust me, it pains me to even write this) “aging” quarterback, Eli Manning and traded their best receiver in WR Odell Beckham Jr. Are they going to be looking to running back Saquon Barkley to carry the team? Maybe. They went 4-12 last year and are looking to win even fewer games as their roster appears currently. Green Bay’s got this game. I’m even going to go ahead and call this a blowout win.

The Washington Redskins are so inconsistent, and I honestly don’t know much about them at all. I DO know the Packers should win this game easily.

I’m going to switch this second game against the Chicago Bears and call this one a win for Green Bay. This game will most likely determine the start of playoff hopes and dreams and I think the Pack will be ultra-focused on winning this second matchup.

Playing the Vikings again has major playoff possibilities. Facing them in Minnesota in their house is a bit tougher than hosting them. I think both teams will be playing hard and it will be a close game.

Finishing the regular season in Detroit – scary to think about it today, but will this game even matter? It’s either just to get the season over with, or the last game to push them into the postseason!
