There is a flurry of activity surrounding the LA Rams upcoming season! Rivaling any Hollywood blockbuster, they now have a star-studded roster – and the season hasn’t even begun.

Not only are they making history by adding Quinton Peron and Napolean Jinnies, who are joining the Los Angeles Rams cheerleading squad, but they’re also a top contender for landing Odell Beckham Jr.

Peron and Jinnies will be the first male cheerleaders ever in the NFL. Other NFL teams have male stuntmen, but Peron and Jinnies are the first men to be dancers for an NFL team. “I’ve choreographed for girls who dance on pro teams, I’ve danced with girls on various pro teams. So I thought, why not me? Why can’t I do this? I called my friend Raquel and I asked her when auditions were for the Rams. She told me Sunday, I showed up – and we’re here!” Peron said on a recent Good Morning America appearance.

Let’s talk the 2018 season. Not resting on the success and NFC West win of last season, almost daily there is news coming out of LA that is certain to excite any Rams fan. Most recently, the additions of all-pro corners Marcus Peters, Aqib Talib, Sam Shields, and five-time all-pro defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh are undoubtedly causing celebration.

I’ve always been a Suh fan, and can’t even imagine the powerhouse duo he and Aaron Donald will be this season. While some might feel it’s a bit premature to talk about a 2018 Super Bowl run for a newly relocated team, I don’t think you can deny the talent Los Angeles is building.

We already know Beckham is an LA fan – he lives here in the offseason. Why not extend that to a year-round home? A top wide receiver is needed for the Rams after losing Sammy Watkins in free agency. With Jared Goff playing on a rookie contract, the cash is there for the Rams to make a real push to acquire Beckham from the New York Giants. Rumors are swirling that Beckham has even made comments about wanting to play for the Rams.

What do you think? Should LA trade first round draft picks to acquire him, despite his on-field and off-field antics? Tweet me at @lucyrk78 and let me know! And stay tuned – I’m excited to be the new Los Angeles Rams reporter for @ourturffb!
