Training camp couldn’t come any faster for Chicago Bears fans and it is earlier than usual due to the Hall of Fame game scheduled for August 2, 2018. The hype will be on return players, drafted players, and new additions. The focus here will be on the undrafted free agents who are hoping to grab a spot on the roster or even practice squad. But most likely it will be a free-for-all audition with teams watching closely as to whom to grab when cut.
There are three UDFA that will need to shine in training camp and transfer it on the field. What better way than to display one’s talent than on national television. Let’s start with the offense.
The Chicago Bears signed seven key players to contracts that would officially keep them on the roster. But after the NFL Draft was finished the Bears continued to sign players that were undrafted hopefuls in an attempt to put together a strong solid roster, including a solid practice squad as insurance.
So imagine general manager Ryan Pace setting the roster like the chess game in the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. With training camp and preseason coming up, which of the pieces (players) will stay, and which will eventually be cut?
