Bears 34 – Lions 22

It wasn’t a good day for Chicago Bear’s kicker Cody Parkey. In four attempted kicks, Parkey missed all of them, hitting the uprights with the oh so sweet sound of “doink”.

There were some Bears fans who thought he didn’t take it seriously, accusing him of laughing or smiling after a missed kick. But when asked what happened he said, I was just pointing the ball down the middle today, and every time I kicked it down the middle, it just kept fading to the right,” Parkey said. “The wind was pushing it a little bit on me, but I have to be better than that. That’s why I’m here.”

Don’t expect the Bears to release him any time soon. He has about $9-10 million in guaranteed money. Despite the big time errors, his teammates were right there supporting him.

Detroit Lions 31 – Green Bay Packers 23

The Green Bay Packers were plagued by a series of poor calls and poor plays again Sunday, as they fell to the Detroit Lions 31-23 Sunday.

According to ESPN Stats & Information research, he became the first NFL kicker to miss four field goals and an extra point in the same game since Rolf Benirschke of the Chargers in 1980. At one point, Crosby even changed his cleats after missing his third field goal in the first half.

Aaron Rodgers leads thrilling comeback win over the Chicago Bears

Green Bay Packers 24 – Chicago Bears 23

I am definitely feeling the effects today from the lack of oxygen I experienced when I stopped breathing last night during the Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers game. When quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down with a knee injury in the first half, the only words I could muster were, “You have to be joking.”

It looked like the Packers’ season was over just as it was beginning. There are injuries, and then there are “the cart is coming out” injuries. Only a handful of players have ever left the game on the injury cart to return. And none have launched a comeback like Rodgers did in Green Bay’s season opener.

by Wanda Wiedman & Cleveland Kate // @WandaW63  & @ClvlndK8

While the NFL shook up the world with its #TakeAKnee, we have survived week 3 with quite a few upsets but managed to stay true to our picks.

Last week Kate suggested that sitting the Pittsburgh Steelers defense against the Chicago Bears offense would be ideal and boy, was she right! But if you took heed to our suggestions when we said to start Chris Thompson and sit  Jeremy Maclin.…you’re welcome.

So let’s get started with this week’s fantasy Starts!
