Today at the NFL Spring League meeting in Atlanta, the NFL team owners approved the Tennessee Titans bid to host the 2019 NFL Draft. The draft will be April 25 through April 27th, 2019 and will be held at several Nashville downtown landmarks.
All of the venues will be within walking distance of each other and include Nissan Stadium, Lower Broadway, Ascend Amphitheater, the Music City Center, Schermerhorn Symphony Center, and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Music City Walk of Fame Park.
From NFL.com: “We’re thrilled to take the NFL draft to Nashville. The city has a passionate fan base and offers iconic locations that will enable us to expand the Draft in unique ways,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said. “We look forward to working with the Tennessee Titans, the City of Nashville, and the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp to deliver a memorable celebration of football to our fans and incoming players.”
Early this year the Titans held a new uniform reveal party in downtown Nashville which attracted nearly 20,000 spectators. Of course there were not just Titans fans in attendance, but also country music fans as the band Florida Georgia Line played a free concert after the uniform reveal.

Singer Tim McGraw and members of the rock band Kings of Leon helped to announce the NFL draft news, which leads me to conclude there were be plenty of music at next year’s draft party. Carrie Underwood, Cole Swindell, Lady Antebellum and Chris Young have tweeted about the upcoming party, it looks like a lot of the local country folks are throwing in their hats and hoping to be a part of the draft.
The NFL Draft Experience is a free football festival for fans to enjoy and to test their football skills. There will also be “interactive exhibits, autograph sessions and the Vince Lombardi trophy to take pictures with” per today’s press release. This will be the 84th NFL draft and Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk stated, “The party is gonna start April 25th, you’d better be there.”
Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation and CEO Butch Spyridon added, “Nashville is honored to host the 2019 NFL Draft. We are prepared to deliver a unique Music City experience and an NFL-caliber event.”
