As I mentioned in my last article, the world has not given me a chance to chat with the ladies on the OTFB Podcast recently, so I had an idea. I’d write a fun article to make up for it.
Training camp has started and the dawn of a new season is upon us. And you know how each team has a hashtag that the NFL randomly assigns each year? Well, I just did the NFC North unofficial hashtags, and now I’m ready to take on the NFC East.
It isn’t going to be what the NFL may give the team (but if it is, I’m just going to assume that great minds think alike), but a hashtag of a word or phrase that I think will embody the team this season. Let’s see how it goes!
Since my world has not let me chat with the ladies on the OTFB Podcast recently, I figured I’d write some stuff to make up for it. And here we go!
Training camp has started and the dawn of a new season is upon us. Do you know how each team has a team hashtag that the NFL randomly assigns each year? Well, in this article, and my next one, I’m going to assign team hashtags for the teams in the NFC North and the NFC East. It isn’t going to be what the NFL may give the team (but if it is, I’m just going to assume that great minds think alike). But just a hashtag of a word or phrase that I think will embody the team this season.
Since we’re starting with the north, let’s go alphabetically and start with the Chicago Bears.
Tick tock says the clock. It is almost that time already. The 2021 NFL Training Camps are about to kick off in just a matter of weeks and while some fans may be content watching the NHL or NBA playoffs, many are just dying for football to return!
Training camp brings with it new hope. A new season full of “what could be”. New players, or players that have returned from injury, that are like shiny new toys to be excited about and loved. I decided it was time to check in with the fan forum, or at least those who weren’t on vacation, and see what players they were most excited to watch during training camp. A rookie with potential? A free agent vet who completes their team? So many things to look forward to, so let’s jump right in.
The Miami Dolphins have released their 2021 NFL training camp schedule. It will be held at their new facility, the Baptist Health Training Complex, located in beautiful Miami Gardens, Florida.
There is no doubt that all eyes will be on Miami’s quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who, to say the least, had some struggles during the coronavirus plagued 2020 season. Tagovailoa was benched by Dolphins head coach Brian Flores during the team’s playoff run late in December, only to have to go back to him after named starter Ryan Fitzpatrick tested positive for COVID-19.
Now comes a brand new season. Let’s, for the sake of argument, give Tagovailoa the benefit of the doubt. I say sake of argument purely because the fans have seemingly divided, making it so you are either for him or against him. I find myself on the fence. I have spoken to many NFL experts on his play and the 2020 season. They all agreed that as unorthodox the season was, it is still too early to make a call on him. And from all that I have seen, the Dolphins agree.
