I think the only thing better would have been if this game had been played on Halloween.
When there were about 5 1/2 minutes left in the first half of the Cowboys/Giants game on Monday Night Football, a black cat somehow got on the field. And true to the app we know and love, Twitter took it and ran with it. Most of the time, I’m OK when things like this happen, but for whatever reason, I thought it was a little too much.
But then I decided I was being a Debbie Downer, and went and sat in the corner. Not really, I just thought to myself let people have their fun. It’s not hurting anyone.
Anyway, here are some of the better tweets/reactions from the cat hanging on the field.
Our own Dayna O’Gorman read my mind and started singing Black Cat by Janet Jackson.

Apparently, he’s married, and his Mrs. is NOT impressed.

Well, it is Wednesday. You can get him off waivers.

And then, last but far from least. The call from the broadcast.

The black cat was great, and I think everything ended OK with the cat. Every now and then, it is fun when something like that brings Twitter together. As for the game, the Cowboys won 37-18.
