Colts 24 – Texans 21

“This is my second home.” Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton tells the media after a victory over the AFC South Division leading Houston Texans.  And course, what a game performance from Hilton!

For the seventh straight season, Hilton has at least 800 receiving yards, making this the longest active streak in the NFL.  Also, Hilton broke a tie with former Colts’ WR and Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison for the most 150 yard receiving games in the Colts’ franchise history.

On Sunday vs the Texans, Hilton caught 9 of 12 targets for 199 yards.  “He’s a baller, man. He’s a baller. It’s always an honor to play with.” Colts QB Andrew Luck tells Colts.com reporter Jake Arthur. “We all know T.Y.’s a tough guy.  Sometimes the best packages come in small sizes.”

In Hilton’s seven year career with the Colts, three out of his four best total yard games have come against Houston.  In 2014 he had 223 yards with one TD, and in 2017 he went for 175 yards and two TDs. You can add today’s game in those numbers as well.

And with another explosive game against the Texans, the Colts keep their playoff hopes alive, as they are currently tied with the Tennessee Titans for second place in the AFC South. Both teams are two games behind Houston. The Jacksonville Jaguars were officially eliminated this past Thursday with a loss against the Titans.  Colts hold the tie breaker over Miami.

Week 15 will be here before you know it.  Next Sunday, the Colts will host the NFC East first place Dallas Cowboys at Lucas Oil Stadium.  The Cowboys are currently on a five game winning streak as they defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in OT as well.  Dallas, in my humble opinion, seems to be inconsistent at times. But of course, a win would mean everything to this young Colts team.

Of course, all eyes will be on not just T.Y., but the rest of the offense as well.  And this defense, wow!!

As I said last week, this is a great ride this team has been on.

Anything is possible.  Let’s believe.

Go Colts!!
