It was a good week 3 for the NFC North. Everybody won, and you can’t get too much better than that.
Though to be fair, I’m sure fans of each team wanted the others in the division to lose, but that didn’t happen.
They all got the win and just about solidifying that the division is going to live up to its nickname of the Black and Blue division this year. Which is always fun.
Let’s head around and check in on the teams!
Detroit Lions: They got a great win in Philadelphia this past Sunday, and are looking to keep up the momentum this week. It’s going to be hard as they welcome in the high-octane offense of the Kansas City Chiefs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes. But, the Lions defense may be a little hurt. From last week’s game, defensive tackle Mike Daniels injured his foot and was seen leaving in a walking boot. Shutdown cornerback Darius Slay possibly has a hamstring injury.
The good news is that the offense overall is well. The Lions are sure going to need all hands on deck for a strong defensive presence against the Chiefs this week.
Chicago Bears: Speaking of defense, all hands were on deck Monday night in Washington as the Bears had 5 turnovers. They were letting the division (and the League) know that the defense is here to ball! Quarterback Mitch Trubisky and the offense was finally able to get it going. Trubisky was 25 of 31 for 232 yards and 3 touchdowns.
It could be a defensive showdown next week as the Bears welcome in division rival Vikings.

Minnesota Vikings: It’s running back Dalvin Cook’s show in Minnesota. In their week 3 win against the Raiders, Cook had another 100-yard game. This is his third this season, but can he keep it up? He’s going up against the very stingy Chicago Bears defense next week so that 100-yard streak could be in jeopardy. Another good sign out of the offense was QB Kirk Cousins. He was 15 for 21 for 174 yards and a touchdown. However, injuries are starting to rear their head.
The Vikings are going to be bringing back wide receiver Laquon Treadwell in light of recent injuries to their WR corps. They’re going to have their hands full next week with the Bears, but it’ll be a great game.
Reunions galore today: The Vikings announced they’ve resigned both Laquon Treadwell and Marcus Sherels. Chad Beebe is headed to IR, and Devante Downs was waived.

Green Bay Packers: It was a tough win, but the Packers got the one against the Broncos with another good defensive showing. If anything, we know that there is some great defense being played in the NFC North. It seems as though the Pack is still trying to get everyone involved in games more, including WR Davante Adams and properly using tight end Jimmy Graham.
They’ve got a short week to figure things out as they welcome the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday who are aiming for a win to get their season back on track.
