Ravens Training Camp 2017 Offense

Official Baltimore Ravens Reporter

With the 2017 season upon us the Rookies have reported to camp to get acclimated to their new home for the next 7 months. Quarterbacks and the rest of the veterans are starting to show up .

The main focus this season will be the offense. We need players to step up, be leaders and be vocal. There will be position battles especially on the offensive line. The competition for the Center position, the Defensive End and the Wide Receivers. Also, who will be our Punt Returner/Kick Returner with Michael Campanaro on the PUP list.

This training camp will be a test for everyone on how our season will be. Fans will get to see the players at M&T Stadium starting July 30th and two more times before the season starts. This will be a make or break season for some to either make the 53 man roster or make it to the practice squad.

But the question remains, how will the offensive line hold up this season? Will they protect Joe Flacco for more than  5 seconds. Will Flacco have confidence in his players? Will there be a new playbook? We don’t want to see the same plays from last season that every team knew what we were going to run.

It is now time for our wide receivers to step up. We have Mike Wallace coming off of a remarkable season last year with over 1000 yards receiving. He has proven that he can still play. He will be the leader. Also with Breshard Perriman coming into his own and hopefully, no injuries, he has something to prove to all the doubters. He was able to show some glimpses last season. Something tells me he will be a force to be reckoned with if used correctly and new schemes given to the team. Seeing him play alongside Wallace will be something to see. Who will be the third and fourth receivers remains to be seen.

With the new coaching staff maybe, just maybe, we can see better play calling. Let’s take the handcuffs off of Flacco and let him explore the talent that they are putting  around him. I would like to see us go undefeated this season but that is wishful thinking. Give me an 11-5 or 10-6 season and playoff Flacco and I will be good.

Let’s get through training camp injury free this year and have a great season. I will be reporting from training camp on July 30th, the first training camp session at the stadium. Go Ravens!!!!
