Who’s having a great season in the NFC East so far?

Here we are halfway through the season already. Crazy how time flies!

We’ve had some surprises so far this season, but honestly the NFC East has been pretty much what was expected.

Except for the Eagles, but that’s another story for another day.

But today, I’m going to look at the who on each team has had a great season so far.  As always, if you don’t agree with me, feel free to let me know!

Starting with the Washington Redskins: it’s been a less than stellar year for them, to say the truth. Firing their coach, issues at quarterback, it’s been anything but good. There have been very few bright spots for them this year, but one that can certainly get that honor is offensive guard Brandon Scherff. He has consistently ranked towards the top of the league for offensive linemen since he was drafted in 2015. A bright spot indeed!

Moving on to the New York Giants: while their offensive line play has picked up some, there’s really only one person who, despite having missed games with the dreaded high ankle sprain, has played well. You know him as running back Saquon Barkley. He’s a beast, and the Giants are very lucky to have him. So far this season, he’s got 373 yards and 2 touchdowns, even after missing some time. He’s done great things, and it’ll be fun to watch the rest of the season.

Next up are the Philadelphia Eagles. While their season hasn’t been as great as once hoped, there are still some good things going on with this team. They are in a position to possibly make a run if everyone gets healthy. But for the standout player so far this season for the Eagles, I’m going to go with defensive end Brandon Graham. The man is a machine. He leads the Eagles with 5 total sacks and also has 21 tackles and a forced fumble. He’s doing big things out there.

Last but far from least, Dem Boyz, the Dallas Cowboys. It’s been a good season so far for them as well. Despite their little skid a couple of weeks ago, they’re still right where most thought they would be. It’s sort of hard to pick just one person because, overall, they’ve been a really complete team. But I will have to go with wide receiver Amari Cooper. He has had a great season so far. He’s scored 5 touchdowns and has over 600 receiving yards. The Cowboys offense is flying high, and Cooper has a lot to do with it.
